The sounds and configuration data are stored in files on the included microSD Card so changing sounds or configurations is as simple as swapping in a new microSD Card. Alternatively changing a simple text file on the card will activate another sound set on the card. A microSD to SD Card adaptor is included. Most modern computers and laptops have a built in SD card reader. If yours does not, we offer a high quality USB microSD card Reader here.

We also sell additional microSD Cards pre-loaded with one of our Sound Suites (details here).

Up to 16 non-engine sounds can be controlled using one or two spare R/C channels. For model tanks, the second proportional "engine" sound can be used as a proportional gun turret rotation sound.

There are four on-board switched outputs that can be used to flash LEDs in synchronism with gunfire or Morse Code sounds, or to switch other auxiliary circuits.

See our red/orange Ultra-Bright Power LEDS to go with these switched outputs.

The module comes with one of "starter" Sound Suites, according to the type of model you are installing it in, e.g. aircraft, boat or tank. If the sound you want is not in our current Sound Suite collection, tell us what you want and we'll see if we can find it for you.

Also included is one 300mm long servo lead with a male servo connector on both ends and one 300mm long male-male-female Y servo lead. These are used to connect the ShockWave 3 sound module to your radio receiver.

The micro-B USB port to connect to the PC is the same as used on many mobile devices so you can use the USB cable that came with the mobile device. We can also supply a micro-B USB cable at USD$6.99.

Be sure to also order loudspeakers, if not ordering a complete system kit, LEDs, extra microSD Sound Suite Cards and any extra cables you may need. For these go to our accessories Page.

If you want to change any of the many configurable options or switch the sounds around or add or delete sounds yourself, you will need to purchase the optional Windows 10/8.1/8/7 ShockWave 3 PC Software here.

It is available as a download only.
