Our ShockWave 2 sound module uses a microSD card to store its multiple composite sound files and their configuration data. Very occasionally you might want to change the sound files or alter their configuration. For very simple changes, you can simply connect the ShockWave 2 sound module to your computer using a USB cable where it will appear as an external drive.

For more complex changes it is recommended to remove the microSD card from the sound module and insert it into a microSD card reader slot on your computer. If your computer does not have a microSD card reader slot you are recommended to use one of these USB microSD card readers.

These high quality Kingston brand microSD card Readers are ideal to allow you to make backups of the microSD Card and also to allow you to use the card in a high speed USB 2.0 mode with our optional SFXPC4 Windows Software.
